I also agree with Dan's assessment. Try your best to leave the correct
responses in. Use your engineering "know-how" to ensure gain
consistency. Due to the fact that you asked the question means that you are
more conscious of the importance of the issue than many control engineers doing
application work. There are too many guys doing this work that are taking the
"easy" was out and ripping out relationships, or making small simple
control applications. At the end-of-the-day, they will also, potentially, find
that they will have to overconstrain the problem to keep it feasible, thus a
reduction of benefits.
